Recoup: The people at Recoup know lots about packaging recycling – they are the technical experts who are helping to deliver advice on how we can make this project work and all the tricky behind the scenes stuff to make recycling happen.

This is really important, because you want to know that once you have put your bottle or can into the right unit, it’s going to get recycled properly.  Recoup work with many partners in waste management to make sure that every bottle and can put into an Recycle Zone unit is sent to accredited recyclers.

Recoup have been doing this for the last 20 years – because we’ve always wanted to do our bit for recycling, and CCE were one of the first members that helped Recoup to recycle the first plastic bottles.

We have been working with Recoup on recycling both cans and bottles since the beginning of the decade.  One of the great things about Recycle Zone is that each participating site will get some consultancy time with Recoup – to make sure the programme is as good as it can be.

So, whether you need to know which unit will work best in your suggested site, or how to get more people recycling more often, Recoup are the people who know.  You can contact them at www.recoup.org.

WRAP: WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) helps individuals, businesses and local authorities to reduce waste and recycle more, making better use of resources and helping to tackle climate change.

WRAP run the Recycle Now campaign, which has helped to increase the amount of committed recyclers in England to 64% in 2008.

The Recycle Now campaign provides consumers with easy practical hints and tips on how to recycle more things more often and helps people to find out more about recycling in their local area.

WRAP is supporting Recycle Zone because it offers people new opportunities to recycle when they are out and about which will help us all to recycle more.  If you want to know more about WRAP – click here
